The Ife College of Health Sciences and Technology was started out of a strong desire to create a world class tertiary institution that is focused on advancing the frontiers of knowledge and shaping the evolution of thought and research in the twenty-first century. This desire has led to the founding of a new institution whose campus is naturally beautiful to stimulate intellectual work while being environmentally friendly.
Our focus is to establish the College as a tertiary institution in which students may obtain education and instructions in Science Healthcare, Technology and Management.
The college aims to evaluate and present lectures through a range of teaching and tutorials strategies in the different fields of health science and technology. This includes workshops and group discussions, as well as case studies and examples, to develop lecture topics and the students’ problem-solving skills.

Programmes
The College offers programmes in Health Sciences and Technology and runs the following Schools:
- School Health Information Management
- School of Environmental Health Technology
- School of Dental Health
- School of Medical Laboratory Science
- Community Health Officers Training School
These courses are offered at National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels. National Diploma Graduates are expected to undergo a compulsory one-year internship Higher National Diploma (HND) Course.
Ife College of Health Sciences and Technology produces highly qualified health professionals who can practice as health technologists after the registration with the relevant health professional bodies in Nigeria.
Programme Duration
National Diploma runs for two years and the Higher National Diploma also runs for two years, In addition, there is one year internship and graduates are mobilized for NYSC.
Career Prospects
Our graduates have excellent career prospects. They are adequately equipped to be employed in the Ministry of Health, Teaching hospitals, Private hospitals and Clinics as well as in schools and other relevant establishments. The college is quite aware that after some years of experiences, many graduates may consider establishing private clinics. Hence, our course structure is suitably designed as Entrepreneurship is among the courses in the curriculum.
Facilities
The college is located in a serene, stimulating and supportive environment that is conducive for academic learning. The college is well equipped with conventional facilities which make learning a worthwhile experience. In addition, there is a substituting commitment to continuous upgrade of facilities and equipment to ensure that the college remains the choice to all discerning prospective students.
Sports & Recreation
There are sports facilities for all students. The college has an Olympic size Summing Pool, Tennis Court, Squash, Basket Ball and other games. Students may engage in one or many of the games available on campus.
Campus Life
It is the policy of the college to accommodate all students on-campus. This will enable them to concentrate on academic work and escape the distraction of off-campus life. Suitable halls of residence are in place within the campus.

ICHST Provost
Dr. K.A.B. Ogunniyi, a medical practitioner, was until 2012, the Provost of the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa. He had an excellent record at the College and has brought his wealth of experience to lead the team to enable the Ife College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ile-Ife attain the vision of the promoters.
Other members of the academic and management team are men and women of proven record in the Academia, Business and other professions.
